Matt was born in Waco, Texas. Being raised as an Army brat he lived all over this country and learned to deal with a variety of people and places. Most of his time was spent in either Austin, Texas, or in the Washington D.C. Metro Area. Talk about night and day.
He enjoys reading, watching movies and playing video games. That is pretty much how Matt spends most of his free time. If he was asked to describe himself, Matt would use words like stubborn, honest, intelligent, and forthright. What you see is pretty much what you get. If you asked other people to describe him, their descriptions might not be as kind, but he's a lot more fun once you get to know him. Matt really doesn't enjoy talking about himself that much which makes this exercise quite difficult.
Since he has gotten older and started to settle down a bit more, Matt has been looking in to developing some very low key hobbies. He makes some darn good beer if he has the time. Matt likes to camp and to fish and cooking and basically anything that could be associated with time spent on vacation. Sometimes the ability to relax helps to make a person better at what they do. Work to live instead of living to work.
Matt attended three different high schools. In order, they were Robinson Secondary School, then Hayfield Secondary, and his senior year was at Roundrock High school just North of Austin. After graduating at Roundrock, he matriculated at Texas State University in San Marcos with a degree in Marketing. Matt figured that marketing would be the theory course while management was the math course. Matt was wrong. Marketing is a much harder specialty then you might think.
Matt has been working at Brown's Fairfax Mazda since May 2004. Matt has worked as a salesperson a Finance Manager and currently as a New Car Sales Manager.
