Introducing the All-New Mazda MX-30

Mazda MX-30: Coming Soon to Brown's Fairfax Mazda

Pretty much everywhere you turn in the auto industry, a new electric vehicle (EV) is being announced. Not one to be left behind, and a brand known for leading the industry in innovative design and compelling new rides, Mazda is joining in the mix, having recently announced its own EV: the Mazda MX-30. Still a ways from being available here at our Fairfax Mazda dealership, this debut EV from an iconic brand is bound to lead to smooth, clean and green driving, with a focus on technology, comfort and convenience. Better yet, by the time the Mazda MX-30 arrives here in Fairfax, public charging stations are bound to be even more readily available in the area. Get in touch with Brown's Fairfax Mazda today and we'll be delighted to share more with you about the exciting Mazda MX-30.

What Can You Expect From the Mazda MX-30?

As a compact crossover with electric motors and an easy-to-charge battery pack, the Mazda MX-30 carries plenty of Mazda DNA in its design, with a minimalistic approach to its cabin layout. It's not surprising that Mazda has waited this long to roll out its first-ever EV, as the brand prefers to be deliberate and highly detailed whenever it does something big. The result is bound to be an EV that's easy to use, features an intricate design - with classic Mazda elements like rear-hinged back doors - and provides a far more responsive sense of performance than many other electric models tend to. With its debut still months away - it first shows up in California this fall, and it's unknown when it'll arrive here in Fairfax - there's still going to be plenty of news regarding the Mazda MX-30 and what it'll bring to the road, so keep in touch and we'll be happy to provide you with updates.

Performance

What we do know right now is that the Mazda MX-30 will hum to the tune of 144 horsepower with 200 pound-feet of torque, thanks to its 107-kW electric powertrain. With its front-wheel drive setup, we expect the electric motor to be placed up front, which may be why Mazda is touting its EV's responsive acceleration and braking, a quality that's often lacking in other electric cars. For a driving range not expected to exceed 100 miles by much on a full charge, the quick charging system with the Mazda MX-30 will be a huge boost for many. Reaching up to 80 percent of its battery power in about 36 minutes means you won't have to waste a whole day waiting to get back to a full charge. At-home charging is bound to be quick, providing your battery pack with full power in less than seven hours, so plugging in overnight will be a great way to go.

Further down the road, the Mazda MX-30 will add a rotary generator setup, which is like a plug-in hybrid in that you'll fill up a bit with gas, which will then charge the battery pack while you're on the go. As with everything else with this exciting EV, we'll be sure to provide clearer details as they become more readily available.

Safety and Technology

As for in-car technology, some familiar features like the Mazda rotary knob for infotainment functions, along with a huge touchscreen and other infotainment systems will keep you well-connected while on the go in your Mazda MX-30. Plenty of high-end Mazda driver assistance features will give you more confidence when driving around the Fairfax area, and we'll be sure to round out the full suite of safety features when the Mazda MX-30 gets closer to its arrival.
